Why go

Oedo Antique Market is held in the ground-level plaza of Tokyo International Forum, right in front of JR Yurakucho Station. Admission is free. Per the official stall guide, the sellers are people who sell antiques, and they are required to carry a second-hand dealer’s licence. The organizer is the Oedo Antique Market executive committee.

What you can buy

The official pages describe it as an antique market and do not list item categories. What each seller carries, and at what price, is not published, so please look around on the day.

Budget

Entry is free. Prices of goods are not stated officially. (For reference, sellers pay 12,000 yen per booth, collected on the day. This is the sellers’ fee, not a cost to visitors.)

Access

The venue is at 3-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, in front of JR Yurakucho Station. A map, directions and the weather forecast are on the spot page for Tokyo International Forum.

Practical information

  • Rain: cancelled in rain. If the forecast issued at 17:00 the day before gives a precipitation probability of 80% or more for the Tokyo area from 6:00 to 12:00, it is cancelled; otherwise the secretariat decides.
  • Time: it may end earlier than 16:00 depending on the weather or other events at the venue.
  • Cash, card, English, haggling: the official pages do not say. This site does not guess; please ask each seller.

Nearby

The same plaza also hosts a flea market by Recycle Undo Shimin-no-Kai on other dates (Tokyo International Forum flea market). See other markets in Chiyoda Ward.
