A head temple of the Washu sect. At the Daishikai (the monthly day of Kobo Daishi) on the 21st of each month, stalls line the grounds, according to the official notice.和宗総本山の寺院。毎月21日の大師会（弘法大師の月命日）には、境内に露店が並ぶと公式に案内されている。
