  3. Check the official page the day before you go

Finding a market for your dates

Start with This Weekend or the Tokyo area page. For a month view, use the calendar. Every listing links to the organizer’s official page and shows when it was last checked.

Flea markets

  • Ohi Racecourse Tokyo City Flea Market: dates on the organizer’s schedule. Whether it is held is decided by 7:30 on the day and posted on the organizer’s website.
  • MOTTAINAI Flea Market is held at several venues, including Shinjuku Central Park, Nakano Central Park and the Kichijoji Parco rooftop, on dates in the organizer’s calendar.

Temple and handmade markets

Before you go

Rain rules differ by market (see above). Payment methods, English support and bargaining are not stated on most official pages (TBC); see Shopping and payment and Manners at the market. For Ohi Racecourse, the organizer asks visitors not to bargain too hard and to watch their valuables (spot page).
